Greenhill Humane Society of Lane County, today announced it has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Tipping Point Private Foundation to sponsor the cat adoption colony room associated with their current capital campaign.
“Greenhill is one of the community’s most visible and effective animal welfare agencies, and we’re very pleased to be able to contribute to their cause,” said Veronica Carrai, Director of Tipping Point. “This funding will further improve their ability to socialize animals in their care, making them more adoptable.”
Greenhill Humane Society is a nonprofit organization that operates the largest animal shelters in the Eugene/Springfield area. Their lifesaving rate is among the best in the country and in the last year, over 3,000 lost, surrendered and abandoned animals were cared for and placed in homes.
“We are so thankful for the Tipping Point Foundation and this generous gift,” said Cary Lieberman, Greenhill’s Executive Director. “It will help thousands of cats in our community for years to come.”
The Tipping Point Foundation investment will help Greenhill Humane Society provide a higher level of care for the animals while at the same time improving access to Greenhill’s programs and services for people in the community. Visit https://www.green-hill.org/capital_campaign/ to learn more.
