Pups 6 months & older have reduced fees to $76 until 7/4
EUGENE, OREGON – (June 30, 2023) – In preparation for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday, Greenhill Humane Society is running a Red, White & Woof dog adoption promotion to get as many adoptable dogs into new homes over the next few days. As the safety net for stray animals in Lane County, the shelter is preparing for an increase of lost pets ahead of the holiday weekend.
During the Red, White & Woof promotion, all dogs over 6 months old have a reduced adoption fee of $76 and will go home with a special gift. The promotion runs through Tuesday, July 4. Greenhill is open every day with adoption meet and greets from 11 am – 4 pm. To see all the pups part of this promotion, visit Greenhill’s dog adoption page (https://www.green-hill.org/adopt_dog).
“Historically, we’ve seen an increase in stray and lost dogs that need shelter in the days leading up to and after the Fourth of July,” said Sarah Bouzad, Greenhill’s Community Engagement & Events Manager. “We are running this adoption promotion in order to ensure that we have enough available capacity for all the animals in need.”
Ensuring pets are safe with updated tags and identification during the holiday festivities is important. See tips on Fourth of July pet safety here (https://www.green-hill.org/pet-safety-for-fourth-of-july-celebrations).
