Pups will go home with a summer-themed item until 7/7
EUGENE, OREGON – (June 27, 2024) – To kick off the Summer season, Greenhill Humane Society is running its annual Red, White & Woof dog adoption promotion to get as many adoptable dogs as possible into new homes over the next ten days.
During the Red, White & Woof promotion, all dogs will go home with a special summer-themed gift including toys, leashes, splash pads, and more. The promotion runs through Sunday, July 7. Greenhill is open every day with adoption meet and greets from 11 am – 4 pm. To see all the pups up for adoption, visit Greenhill’s dog adoption page (https://www.green-hill.org/adopt_dog).
“Summer is a great time to add a furry friend to your home,” said Sarah Bouzad, Greenhill’s Community Engagement & Events Manager. “We have a wide range of dogs up for adoption that would make wonderful companions for all your summer plans. Summer break is also the perfect time to bring a pet home, while kids are out of school and can help with training.”
Summer is an ideal time to adopt a furry companion as there is often extra time and family members home to help transition a new pet to their surroundings and establish strong bonds and routines. Summer is also a busy season for the shelter. Adopters help by providing a home for a homeless animal which frees up space so the shelter can care for more vulnerable animals.
