EUGENE, OREGON – (October 14, 2021) ––  Greenhill Humane Society is excited to partner with Kendall Subaru of Eugene to participate in  Subaru Loves Pets, a Subaru initiative taking place across the country. This event is aimed to support animal welfare in the community and help the hardest-to-adopt shelter animals find loving homes this October.

During Subaru Loves Pets Month, Kendall Subaru of Eugene will be donating $100 to Greenhill for every dog and cat adopted in October.* Additionally, adoptable pets will go home with Kendall Subaru giveaways.

Throughout the month of October, team members from Kendall Subaru of Eugene will champion the interests of special needs dogs, specifically: senior dogs, amputees, visually and hearing-impaired dogs, and dogs with birth defects and physical challenges. Often the last to get adopted, these animals will take center stage on Greenhill’s social media channels.

“It is important to highlight and advocate for those pets that are often overlooked because they are older in age or are physically challenged. These pets continue to offer unconditional love no matter our own differences and they deserve the same from us,” explains Megan Brezovar, Greenhill’s Community Engagement and Humane Education Manager.

Greenhill and Kendall Subaru of Eugene are further showcasing their ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of pets by celebrating the third annual National Make A Dog’s Day on Friday, October 22. Dog lovers are invited to do something extra special for their favorite dog. Consumers are invited to share their happy dog in social posts using #MakeADogsDay and are encouraged to help hard-to-adopt dogs by considering adopting a shelter dog or volunteering at an animal shelter.
