LANE COUNTY, OREGON – (October 10, 2024) –Greenhill Humane Society is hoping to place as many animals as possible into loving homes this October with adoption specials to make you fall in love.

Thanks to the support of Kendall Subaru of Eugene, Subaru of America and the ASPCA, all dogs over one-year-old and select cats have reduced adoption fees. All dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines prior to adoption. “It’s officially sweater weather, which means it’s the perfect time to adopt a furry friend to cozy up with. We have a wide range of dogs and cats with different personalities and features, varying in age, that are hoping to fall in love with their new family this October,” said Sarah Bouzad, Greenhill’s Community Engagement & Events Manager. “Throughout the month, select animals will have a discounted adoption fee or go home with a special toy thanks to Kendall Subaru of Eugene.”

These animals are all looking for a special home and have a discounted adoption fee (photos attached):

-Oliver and Winnie, bonded cats: Meet the cutest, most affectionate sibling duo! These two are extraordinarily unique in that they have a rare skin condition causing their glands to create more oil than usual making their hair feel a little greasy. This is just cosmetic and not treatable or painful. Aside from this, these two are beautiful, sweet, and lovable 3-year-old cats. They enjoy toys, their scratchers, and to be brushed. They are extremely bonded and best friends so they must be adopted together.

-Luna, cat: A gorgeous 13-year-old senior kitty looking for a peaceful home to relax in. She is an affectionate girl, who with a calm, quiet home will thrive into the best loving companion. Luna is looking for a patient family to allow her to warm up on her own pace. She is a very sweet, lovable gal.

-Buttercup, dog: 6-year-old sweet senior who will shower her new person with endless love. She’s a very snuggly gal who enjoys lounging in the sun and going for long walkies. If you are looking for a cuddle buddy to lay on the couch and watch movies with you, she’s your gal!

-Sparky, dog: Enthusiastic, friendly, social big pitty who loves everyone he meets! Everything is so exciting for this handsome guy and he loves to give sloppy kisses! He is 6-years-old and enjoys showing off his wiggles and playing with toys.

According to the ASPCA®, nearly 6.5 million companion animals entered shelters nationwide last year, where many waited to find a loving home. That’s why, as part of their annual #SubaruLovesPets initiative, Kendall Subaru of Eugene is providing Greenhill Humane Society with direct funding through a grant administered by the ASPCA® to help cover essential costs for preparing animals for adoption, including veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and more.
