Meet Our Board of Directors
Vice-President/Interim President: Vi Jaqua, Pharm.D
Vi works as a rural community pharmacist in Oakridge, Oregon. A Portland native, Vi graduated from the University of Portland and the OSU/OHSU College of Pharmacy before moving to Eugene with her husband, rescue dog (Chet) & two cats (Hobbes & Derkins). They live on a hazelnut farm on the McKenzie River and have since added twin daughters (Eddy & Jane), a cattle dog rescue (Stone) and 10 chickens to their family. Vi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, dancing, snowboarding and learning new things including mountain biking and horseback riding.
Treasurer: Sam Maslin
Sam is a CPA at Moss Adams specializing in providing tax compliance and consulting services to tax-exempt organizations. She received her Master’s of Accountancy from the University of Montana and then moved to Eugene with her husband, daughter, three dogs, and two cats. In her free time she enjoys outdoor adventures with her daughter, Korbin, husband, Daniel, and their pups. She especially enjoys running, mountain biking, hiking, and climbing.
Secretary: Lilly Storment
Lilly Storment was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon. She attended the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon and now works at the commercial real estate firm of Evans, Elder, Brown & Seubert as a commercial real estate broker. She lives in Coburg with her fiancé Erik and rescue cat Tinkle where she hopes to one day have a rescue farm for all different types of animals.
Amber Suklje
Amber is an estate planning and probate attorney at Gleaves Swearingen LLP. Amber received her undergraduate degree in biology at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. After college, Amber moved back to her hometown of Eugene to pursue a legal education at the University of Oregon (go Ducks!). Amber enjoys spending time with her family (including her two cats, Chandler and Cooper), attending University of Oregon football games, and traveling.
Angie Robinson-Grein
Angie grew up in Washington state and graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in Human Resources Management and Accounting. Shortly thereafter, she and her husband, Rudy, moved to Eugene for a job opportunity with Bi-Mart Corporation. Today, she continues to work with Bi-Mart and has advanced into the Vice-President of Human Resources position there. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family (including her two dogs – Mia and Kobi), photography, traveling, and working on craft projects.

Jen joined the Greenhill board in 2022.
Mary Reilly
Mary Reilly has been a fixture in Lane County since 2012 when she joined the Morning Mix with Liz & Reilly at 94.5 Mix FM. Through her daughter’s middle school internship with Sasha, she and the kids became a Greenhill Foster family and, although her kids have moved out, Mary continues to foster and manage the family pets: 1 dog and 3 cats. Now a realtor with Windermere Real Estate, Mary enjoys serving in her community, playing ice hockey and traveling.
Mike Maulding
Mike is a retired teacher and vice principal of 42 years. He was born and raised in the great state of Oregon. He graduated from the University of Oregon (“Go Ducks”) with a Bachelor and Master’s degree. From 1981 to 1991 he was the University of Oregon’s Cheerleading/Mascot Coach. He enjoys working out, listening to good music, watching movies and travel. “I just recently lost my loyal and faithful friend, my Siamese cat Ming. We were together for 17 years, miss her very much. Growing up my family was always surrounded with animals, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, turtles, fish and chipmunks. I’m so very proud to now be a member of the Greenhill Board of Directors.”
Sandy Smalley, DVM
Dr. Sandra (Sandy) Smalley is a veterinarian who has practiced companion animal medicine in Eugene for over 38 years. Throughout that time she has worked with Greenhill Humane Society, but it is only after selling her practice, Edgewood Animal Clinic, and retiring that she has adequate time to serve on the Greenhill board. She brings a passion for animal welfare, but also an understanding of how to manage a successful business. She is excited to become involved in this phenomenal opportunity to build a new facility for the benefit of the pets in Greenhill’s care. In her free time, Sandy loves to travel the world, hike and camp, white water raft, garden and read. She is learning to fly fish. Retirement brings the ability to spend more time with her three rescued cats, her beloved black Labrador and her patient partner, Jon.
Meri Brandt, DVM
Meri joined the Greenhill board in November of 2024.
